As part of their capstone project, this summer's crop of Exelead interns banded together to put on a 5k fundraiser for a locally-grown nonprofit. Little Red Door Cancer Agency works to reduce the physical, emotional and financial burdens of cancer for residents of central Indiana by providing free client services, cancer screenings and education.

Little Red Door Cancer Agency offers transportation and free wellness programs for patients undergoing treatment, as well as community resources, partner resources, medical supplies, and even services for women with appearance-related side effects from chemotherapy.

The event was held at Pike High School, near the Exelead manufacturing site. Employees and local community members came out to support the cause, helping to raise awareness about the organization and its services.

"All of us at Little Red Door Cancer Agency are so grateful to have community partners like Exelead that help us support those in our community battling cancer. We could not provide all of our services and programs without their generosity and support. Thank you to Exelead for helping us make the most of life and the least of cancer!"
